The Georgia Association of Economic Educators was founded in 1994 by Georgia teachers of economics.

Membership in the Georgia Association of Economic Educators:

• Promotes Economics as a premier social science subject in the K-12 curriculum.
• Builds Identity of economic educators in Georgia and provides a statewide network of colleagues.
• Provides Priority Access to professional development opportunities and curriculum materials targeted at grades K-5, 6-8, and 9-12.
• Informs About Issues and Events through a quarterly newsletter.
  

Membership is open to all persons who teach or who actively promote economic education.
