About the Information We Collect
We will use information we collect through our Web site only to achieve our mission of helping Georgia teachers teach economics. We collect and store only personal information our users provide knowingly and voluntarily.

If, while visiting, you request materials, register for workshops, pledge a contribution, join the message board, or provide feedback, you will be asked to provide certain information voluntarily.

GCEE will never share information we collect through this site, including e-mail addresses, with any other organization. We may use your contact information to reach you as necessary about transactions you've entered on this site. We may occasionally send you carefully selected information about the Georgia Council or its workshops, events and materials.

GCEE makes all efforts to maintain the integrity and privacy of the information it collects. To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy and ensure the correct use of information, we have established physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard the information we collect online.

We do not collect any personal information from users browsing our Web site. Our site does identify IP addresses, which allows Web site analysis software to gauge our traffic levels and gather broad demographic information about who visits We collect aggregate use information, such as the number of hits (visits) per page. We use aggregate data for internal and marketing purposes, but we don't collect any personally identifying information. does not send cookies (small bits of code sent to your computer) to track your usage or any other personal information about you.

Contact List
Our contact list is not for sale. If you provide GCEE contact information about yourself through this Web site, it will not be sold to or shared with any organization.

Message Boards
Remember that any information you disclose in message boards becomes public information. Exercise caution when disclosing personal information in any public forum. The information you submit to register for our message board is kept private as described above in "About the Information We Collect."

Credit Card Account Information does not currently collect credit card information over the Internet.

Children's Privacy
We do not seek to collect information from children under the age of 13. The Georgia Council on Economic Education reminds children not to provide any information online without a parent or teacher's consent and encourages parents and teachers to talk with children about the potential risks of providing information over the Internet.
