Which Textbook?
GCEE Analyzes Choices

During summer 2005, the Georgia Council gathered a group of respected economics teachers for a comprehensive review of the high school economics textbooks on the state adoption list. Click here for a .pdf chart that evaluates the six books' coverage of key economic concepts in the Georgia Performance Standards.

"We hope this will be useful as schools move to GPS," said GCEE Program Director Glen Blankenship. "The Georgia Council doesn't rank, recommend or endorse any specific text, but this chart will allow districts to see which books are strong and weak in relation to specific standards."

For more information, e-mail Glen Blankenship or call him at (404) 413-7821.
