Workshop Grades 6–8
The first half of this workshop focuses on Georgia’s major role in the Civil Rights movement with emphasis on the economic implications of the Brown v Board of Education Supreme Court decision, the Albany Movement, and the March on Washington in 1963 . The second half will deal with how to teach personal finance effectively to eighth graders. Teachers will be provided with lunch, sub reimbursement (if needed), and lesson materials.
