SMG Winner: Cambridge High
We just witnessed one of the most dramatic endings to a SMG ever! Going into the final day, there were 4 teams within about $1,000 of first place ($133k), it looked like any of them would win—and yet shockingly, two other teams came out of nowhere to turn the competition on its head in the final hours!
The battle came down to Team 2507 aka “Pink Glitter Sparkles,” from Chestatee Elementary, who had a mere $101,990 in total equity on Wednesday, and Team 994 from Cambridge High, which had $119,365 that same day.
The key for both teams was the same: they bought shares of SMX, Security Matters. This stock traded under our $3/share rule until mid-November, but since then began its upward trajectory until exploding last week. When Pink Glitter Sparkles bought their first shares on Monday, the price was only $38.99. By the end of day Friday, the stock had soared to a staggering $331.98, including increases of 141% on Thursday and 135% on Friday!
Team 994 didn’t hop aboard the SMX train until Wednesday, but when they did, they bought as many shares as they could afford, propelling them to the title of Overall State Winner with an unbelievable $278,274 in total equity!
