Join GCEE for a special webinar featuring Kenneth Shiver, Chief Economist at Southern Company, who will share insights on the economic forces shaping the energy sector and the broader regional economy. Drawing on his experience analyzing trends in electricity demand, energy markets, and economic development, Shriver will discuss how changes in technology, population growth, and policy are influencing the economic outlook in Georgia and across the Southeast. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of how economists within the energy industry interpret data and forecast future conditions, while also exploring connections between energy production, infrastructure, and economic growth. This session offers educators and stakeholders a valuable opportunity to hear directly from a practicing economist about real-world applications of economic analysis in one of the region’s most important industries.
