Distinguished Speaker in Savannah

Article

Chief United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Southern District of Georgia Edward Coleman, and a team of Savannah-area lawyers, spent an evening with a group of distinguished Chatham County economics/personal finance teachers to discuss bankruptcy laws and the importance of learning personal finance basics at a young age. Judge Coleman and his colleagues explained the history of bankruptcy, the most common reasons why people file, how bankruptcy typically works, and numerous tips for avoiding the process altogether. The teachers in attendance walked away with valuable information that they can share with current and future students.
