Agriculture Bus Tour of Southwest Georgia

Join GCEE for a 2.5-day tour of Southwest Georgia’s agriculture industry and learn about the overall impact of agriculture on the state of Georgia and beyond. Locations are being finalized, but the tour will start around lunchtime on Tuesday, June 18th in either Plains, GA or Albany, GA, and end early afternoon on June 20th back in Albany.

Tentative stops (though not all confirmed) will include a dairy farm in Plains, GA, multiple locations related to the peanut industry in Tifton, GA, White Oak Pastures in Bluffton, Pretoria Fields Brewing in Albany, and Richland Rum in Richland with additional locations still in the works. 

GCEE will cover the cost of the bus, hotel for two nights, most meals, and any admission expenses during the tour. Mileage to/from Albany (or Plains) is NOT reimbursed.

Audience: Teachers Grades 8-12.
